The place where I give you an insight to the creative work I am currently exploring! Everything you see here is available to buy, always as an original piece of artwork, never reproduced. If you are interested in finding out more, please contact me directly. Cheers! Wayne |
A couple of photos showing the early stages of my next drawing- aiming for highly realistic tonal pencil drawing, with lots of detail and texture - all very time consuming! 5hours work so far, and counting!!!
Well, a great day to be spending tidying up and making the communal areas of make space studios a more pleasant place. Lots of painting and chatting followed by a barbie and a couple of beers- great! Another opportunity to get o my own stuff there, and a planning chat with Rebecca and Joe who I will be exhibiting with over the open weekend. Thursday/Fridays jobs are to prep my own studio space in readiness, then a couple more drawings and we are there!
So, new developments in readiness for the open studios and exhibition at make space studios include framed drawing work, a couple of the 20 or so photos in the studio and in frames, and, most dramatically, a CHALKBOARD wall in my space! How cool! ;-)
Have taken delivery of frames and printed hard copies of my photographs ready for open studios/exhibition. Exciting!
Will have another go this evening!
In the next couple of hours or so, I will be updating the photography page on my posterous homepage with a preview of work that will form my work for sale at the open studios weekend (5-8th May). Have a look later on when I post to let you know it's done and let me know what you think!
Updated works on paper page to show the work I have done so far in the series based on the Southbank Centre in London. All are works that will be exhibited at the Make Space open studios and exhbition ( i will be showing in the "drawings and illustration" room, along with photographic work too. The photographic images will be uploaded on to the photographic works page tomorrow, and I will blog to let you know when they are ready.
Have a good evening!
